48. ♦ REGULATORY SIGNS - HAZARD MARKERS - P1 AND P2 LEARNER LICENCE

 
 

Hazard markers warn you that the road ahead is about to change direction because of a:

Curve Steep descent
Obstacle (for example, a traffic island or roundabout)
Obstruction (for example, the end of a cul-de-sac).
Hazard markers tell you the direction to take when approaching the obstacle or driving past the hazard. You must obey these signs.


DRIVE TO THE LEFT OF THE HAZARD

K53

Action: These signs tell you that you are coming up to a hazard (such as an abrupt narrowing of the road, or a road obstruction) that you will need to drive left to avoid. You must drive to the left of the sign.

 

DRIVE TO THE RIGHT OF A HAZARD

Action: These signs tell you that you are coming up to a hazard (such as an abrupt narrowing of the road, or a road obstruction) that you will need to drive right to avoid. You must drive to the right of the sign

TURN TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT HAZARD

K53 LEARNERS LICENCE

Action: This sign appears at T-intersections, facing you if you are driving on the road that is ending, or on any road where a traffic island or obstruction is ahead.
